Paintings true to the heart as well as the eyes.
Erin completes portraits from life-studies and photographs taken by the artist, herself. She prefers gathering information for the portrait through both a digital photoshoot and a head sketch of the subject from life (takes appx 2 hours). This sketch is optional, but significantly helps Erin accurately capture the feeling and features of the subject.
Depending on the availability of the client and the scale of the commission, the finished portrait may be complete within a few months to one year after the initial sitting/photoshoot.
Format options range from head studies, head and shoulders, half pose (includes hands), to three-quarters pose (to knees) and full length. For most portraits, the painted subject is depicted life size or just under life size.
