11.6.08 - Opening Tonight!
*Tonight* is the opening of "Everything Nashville" a show and sale of paintings by the Chestnut Group hanging at the Belle Meade Plantation. The opening will be held in the Plantation's Gift Shop and Winery from 5:30-7:30pm in conjunction with a wine tasting. And, even if you can't make the opening, the art in the show will remain up and available through the 16th of November. Come on by! The Chestnut Group is an organization of plein air painters who partner with local land conservation efforts and donate 50% of the sale of their work towards the maintenance of such locations.
11.1.08 - Bells Bend News
Plein Air Nashville was invited to paint at Metro's new park, Bells Bend, on Nov. 1st in conjunction with a community party/kick off of the area. Local residents and farmers were kind enough to invite us out to their properties to paint that day. It is a beautiful piece of Middle Tennessee, and I'm hoping to take advantage of it these next two weeks as the colors are wonderful.
A local station covered the event, and added video of me painting to their story! Kudos to the editors for the excellent fade out at the end.
